Accessibility

Resurrect Me UK is dedicated to making our site as accessible to all users as possible, no matter what browser you choose to use, and whether or not you have any disabilities.

Finding Text hard to read?

If you find the text on Resurrect Me too small to read, you can use your web browser to increase the size to be more legible. This function can usually be found in the view menu at the top of your browser.

We also provide what we call the light switch button Lights on Allowing each page can be converted completely from black to white or back at the click of a button.

How we make our site more accessible...

We provide content and global navigation links to all pages. We also validate all pages to XHTML 1.0 Transitional W3C standards and use Validated CSS Stylesheets and RSS feeds.

Accessibility Guidelines

The site is designed with accessibility in mind and we believe the majority of the site to have a WAI accessibility rating of AA. We do all we can to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as set down by The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) information on these guidelines can be found here http://www.w3.org/WAI/.

Javascript

Where JavaScript has been used, we have tried to ensure that this does not affect the functionality of the website, so that it is useable if you do not have JavaScript enabled.

Keyboard Browsing

It is possible to use resurrect me uk by using the keyboard, rather than a mouse or other device. This can be done by using the TAB key to move forward through the links on the page, and Shift-TAB to move backwards. Pressing the Space Bar will select form elements such as tick boxes and pressing the Return key will activate any link you are focused on.

Known Accessibility Issues

Tables: The pages are designed using tables as structural elements of the page, not just for data. However this is web legal and we feel this is not a barrier to accessibility. Anyone who finds this to be the case please contact the webmaster with details of the browser and issue.

We are also aware that sections of the site provided by other parties such as dead meet and bleeding hearts are controlled by third parties and so it has not been possible for the same standards of accessibility to be applied to them.
